More than just a Coffee house

From a cultural standpoint, coffeehouses largely serve as centres of social interaction, but a true coffee lover knows that is more than just that. A coffeehouse is a home away from home. Haefelis is no exception and it epitomises what man has been seeking ever since the nectar of the “magic fruit” was first discovered, an oasis for the soul.  Haefelis provides patrons and first timers with a place to congregate, talk, read, write, entertain one another, or pass the time with the family while enjoying the variety of meals and confectionary on offer.

Haefelis offers a range of home-style breakfasts and scrumptious pastries to go with freshly ground coffee. You can also sit-in and enjoy our generous toasted sandwiches, gourmet burgers and flame-grilled chicken meals. All the coffee that is served at Haefelis is made from freshly ground full flavoured Arabica coffee more fondly known as the "coffee shrub of Arabia".

Lets Keep Growing

Haefelis first opened years ago as a family run business in Bulawayo. The Italian family also owned Di Bella Bakery, famous for their milk bread and other delicacies like their celebrated “Cake of a Thousand Leaves’. Di Bella and Haefelis were very successful and well loved by both Bulawayo residents and visitors.

Haefelis became part of the Simbisa stable of brands in 1995 and continued to be so popular that Simbisa opened a second branch in Victoria Falls in 2008. Chisipite is the first Haefelis in Harare which opened its doors to the people of Harare on the 21st of September 2018 followed by the official launch on the 26th of September. As the brands popularity continues to grow we opened our 4th Haefelis at Sam levy village on the 7th of August 2019.
